About

Dear Parents of the Class of 2027,
After celebrating Waynflete’s recent 125th anniversary, the “Roots and Rising” theme for this school year acknowledges Waynflete’s remarkable past while looking to its future growth. It also feels like an especially apt metaphor for our seniors, recognizing this year will be full of nostalgia coupled with new beginnings.
Like many of you, we are embarking on our last year with a child at Waynflete. How will we avoid spending the year dwelling on all the ‘lasts’? We still haven’t gotten over our last Pachanga! Yet we know that the bittersweet closing of each chapter in our child’s life also holds the beautiful promise of all that lays ahead. The strong ‘roots’ that our children have grown at Waynflete have readied them for their ‘rising,’ and our family is profoundly grateful.
So, rather than think about all the ‘lasts,’ we plan to focus on our gratitude. Our first step is to make our Senior Class gift in honor of all those at Waynflete who have nurtured, challenged, coached, advised, mentored, and supported our daughter. In thinking of Waynflete’s deep roots and the promise of its next 125 years, we also make our gift for the future generations of Waynflete students. In our gratitude, we are proud to pay it forward and hope you will join us.
Here’s to the wonderful Class of 2027!

A Note from Waynflete
The trusting relationships that form between adults and students are at the core of the Waynflete experience. Ask any graduate and they will readily point to a teacher, coach, or staff member who made a difference in their life.
This year, senior families are invited to donate to the 2027 Senior Gift. In addition to honoring your senior, you may also consider making your gift in honor of a member of our community who made a difference during your child’s time at Waynflete.
